"Wine from long habit has become an indispensable for my health."
-- Thomas Jefferson

Symphonia Cabernet Sauvignon

Vineyards: The 2002 Symphonia is a carefully orchestrated cuvee of fruit selected from vineyards located in Rutherford, Napa and the eastern slopes of the Napa Valley foothills just south of the Stag's Leap Appellation.

Weather: The weather in 2002 rewarded the patient grape grower. Crops were fairly light and hot spells and cold spells dominated the weather pattern. True ripeness was difficult to achieve because of the variations in ripeness throughout vines and vineyards. Careful thinning and allowing for long hang time gave these wines their special depth.

Aging: 18 months in French oak barrels from a wide variety of producers gave the Symphonia a complex layer of supporting tannins and flavors.

Final Analysis: Alc 15.1, pH 3.85, TA 0.6, VA 0.086, RS 0.16%
Cases produced 750

Tasting notes: This limited production Levendi cabernet sauvignon cuvee entices with the sweet, toast nose reminiscent of cherry pie a la mode richly balanced with blueberry and vanilla flavors with dense chocolate fudge texture that crescendo in a nice finish.
