Early challenges, including unexpected heat and tropical rains, were no match for our team’s expertise. By September, perfect ripening conditions emerged, allowing the fruit to develop intense, concentrated flavors with remarkable structure. This vintage is a testament to the resilience of both our vineyards and our winemaking team, delivering a Merlot that’s not only full of character but also captures the essence of Napa Valley at its best. .

Carefully sourced from Calistoga, Oak Knoll, Howell Mountain, and other prime Napa Valley sites, this blend is a true reflection of the region’s finest qualities.

Despite a smaller harvest, the fruit was highly concentrated, resulting in a balanced and expressive vintage. Our 2020 Sweetwater Cabernet Sauvignon is a celebration of Napa Valley’s diverse terroir. Fruit from Coombsville lends structure and intensity, while Yountville contributes richness and smooth, approachable tannins. Oak Knoll brings a touch of elegance, balancing the wine with its refined texture. Ripe plum and wild cherry flavors shine through, reflecting the unique character of each vineyard. This Cabernet embodies the depth and complexity of Napa’s finest appellations.

The 2020 growing season in Napa Valley began with a warm, dry winter, followed by a mild spring that provided an early start for the vines. Summer brought cool mornings and warm, sunny days, creating ideal ripening conditions for our fruit. The white wine harvest began in early August, with the fruit showing excellent development and balance. Although the red wine harvest was smaller, our winemakers were able to craft wines that showcase the unique character and quality of the vintage. The 2020 vintage promises complexity and depth, and we look forward to seeing its story unfold in the years to come.
